Last weekend took place a really important event on our island, the Malta Blockchain Summit.
A lot of very important people attended the event, Maltese Prime Minister, Joseph Muscat: Eva Kaili, member of the European Parlamient; Jon Matonis, founding and executive director of the Bitcoin Foundation and Sophia Robot, which is known for her human-like appearance and behaviour, compared to previous robotic variants. Sophia uses voice recognition (speech-to-text) technology from Alphabet Inc. (parent company of Google) and is designed to get smarter over time.
